In her role as Allrounder Senior at GenM Hotels, Ganna is responsible for group and event bookings, customer service for individual guests, and HR support. It's exactly that variety that makes her job so enjoyable — from operational questions to guest contact and administration. No two days are the same.
Until early 2024, the group booking process was still mostly manual: handled via email, Excel sheets, and internal coordination. Not a disaster, but it was time-consuming. And it wasn’t always clear who was responsible for what. Since the switch to Groupz, there's more clarity, calm, and room for real guest contact. Ganna shares how this changed her daily work.
Before: hard work and constant switching
Before Groupz was introduced, handling group requests was mostly a manual job. Ganna: “We worked with Excel, email, and sometimes even WhatsApp. It worked, but it took a lot of time to keep everything aligned – especially when changes came in or multiple people were involved in one booking.”
Because everyone had their own way of working, internal coordination was key. “It meant lots of checking in and double-checking. At the time, it felt like the normal way to work. But looking back, you realise how much more efficient it can be.”
Administrative tasks like writing proposals and entering guest lists also took up a lot of attention. “You were mostly busy with repetitive tasks. The work was less challenging, and I missed having time for real guest contact.”
The switch: involved, step by step
When Ganna started working with Groupz in July 2024, it instantly felt like the right fit. “I was guided step by step. My input was taken seriously, and I could run test bookings myself. That really helped me understand what the system does – both for us and for the guest.”
The transition went smoothly. "The system is super intuitive. Within two days I was creating and managing bookings on my own. What I really appreciate is that everything is in one place – from the request to the invoice. It brings clarity and calm.”
The win: more time for true hospitality
Since implementing Groupz, Ganna’s workday has changed significantly. “Now that a lot of the admin is automated, I have more time for real, personal contact. We call guests more often to understand what matters to them and why they’re coming. That way, we can add something special to their stay. Sometimes we’re even there to greet them personally. That’s the part of the job I love most.”
Behind the scenes, the difference is just as noticeable.“There’s less chance of miscommunication or errors because the booker is in control of their own booking. That gives us confidence – and the guest as well.”
Collaboration within the team has improved too. “Everyone works in the same system, with the same information. That creates peace of mind, clarity, and trust.”
Guests feel the difference too
It’s not just the team that benefits from Groupz. Guests do too. “At first, some bookers were hesitant to use Groupz themselves,” Ganna explains. “But they quickly saw the benefits. They have more insight into their own booking and can easily make changes or check details. That gives them a sense of control and confidence.”
According to Ganna, guests experience the communication as more transparent and professional.
“It feels to them like they’re booking through a modern reservation platform — just like they’re used to for individual trips. It makes the whole experience smoother and more guest-focused.”

For her personally, it means more variety, more ownership, and above all, more enjoyment. “I’m not just processing. I’m improving. And that makes my work a lot more fun.”
